Introducing the MAIF Insurance Payment Plan
In October 2013, our company introduced a payment plan to make it easier for policyholders to pay their premiums over time. Depending on your annual premium amount, you may be able to spread your payments out over the course of a year after making a down payment of 20 to 25 percent. You receive a five percent discount off your annual premium when you choose to pay it in full. The MAIF Insurance plan available to you depends on the amount you normally pay for your annual premium.
We require a 25 percent down payment for all annual payments that are $3,000 or less. Once that has been credited to your account, you have the option of making six monthly installments beginning 60 days after your policy is established. You can also choose to make three monthly installments. The first one is due within 60 days and the remaining two are due every 60 days thereafter.
For premiums that are greater than $3,000, you must pay at least 20 percent of the annual policy upfront. You then have two options for paying the remainder of the policy. The first is to make eight monthly installments with the first one due 45 days after we credited your down payment to your account. Your other option is to make four monthly installments. The first is due within 45 days and the remaining three are due every 45 days thereafter.
